Michele Bachmann’s Google glasses – eek

Luke Russert tweeted a photo of Michele Bachmann wearing Google Glasses to a GOP meeting. It’s a move that doesn’t bode well for Google’s controversial new venture. After all, who wants to follow Michele Bachmann’s fashion lead?

The jokes just write themselves.

But in case they don’t, feel free to write some in the comments.

I have to say, those things are ugly. First off, the color. But also the style. I understand a lot of people have been getting headaches from wearing the $1500 a pair glasses.

I find the notion of them intriguing. But in practice, ycch.

And in fact, the jokes have begun to write themselves:

  2. condew says:

Well, I’m almost used to the idea that some guy yelling at an invisible opponent in a public place isn’t mentally ill, he’s just got a blue tooth headset.

  3. Jim Olson says:

This picture is the death knell for this product.

  4. Papa Bear says:

I don’t think it matters. After all, why should your religion even come into it?
    :-)

  5. d3clark says:

Michele would be ZERO of Nine.

When I first glanced at that picture of her, the Google Glass extending beyond her face on the right made me think that she got a whole-head piercing.

  6. karmanot says:

    Michele Borg—-mann.

  7. William Brinkman says:

I can see Google Glass’s cool factor plummeting.

  8. BeccaM says:

Well, I wear eye-glasses most of the time, so either I’d need a prescription version or else some alternate design that works with existing eye-wear.

The other thing I’ve been wondering is just how usable that thing is for people with moderate presbyopia like myself.

  9. I think they are out there now. I’ve seen a few people in NYC with them walking around looking ridiculous. Maybe it’ll be the norm someday but right now it looks so silly.

  10. Papa Bear says:

no, just “liberal” teleprompters — they make you gay!
    8-O

  11. Clecinosu says:

She doesn’t need Google Glass to see her own failures, just a mirror.

    Oh, that’s right — vampires don’t have a reflection.

  12. pappyvet says:

I dont care what kind of glasses Goofy is wearing, she will never be able to see

“Mr. Wizard, do you have a brain in that bag for me?”

  14. BeccaM says:

Odd — wasn’t the Google Glass initial offering supposed to be limited to developers, reviewers, and professional testers?

  15. nicho says:

Where is Anonymous when you need them? They need to hack those glasses pronto.

  16. nicho says:

You would think that she knew the bible and the Constitution by heart.

  17. BlueIdaho says:

Could she be watching porn while talking to the hunk of a guy across from her? Her hands seem to be moving pretty fast….just sayin’.

  18. TheOriginalLiz says:

Is this a GOP attempt to appeal to the youth vote with their “hip-ness” and cool tech?

  19. UncleBucky says:

She’s a 13 year old boy trying to act up. Can you imagine attending a corporate video dolled up like that?

  20. Now, now. I’m sure that nothing scrolls up that little screen except the Constitution and inspirational Bible quotations. The rest comes from her heart, ex tempore.

  21. iamlegion says:

    Ha!

  22. nicho says:

Ha Ha. We were typing at the same time.

  23. nicho says:

Isn’t that a lot like a little teleprompter? I thought conservatives hated teleprompters.

  24. iamlegion says:

Ok Glass, insert obligatory “teleprompter” joke here.

  25. When desiccated Republican pharisees try to look cool!

  26. HtW says:
